THE DULLTONS

The Waltons was a long-running show about a family during the Depression, opening each week with the family getting together on the porch bringing home a newfangled radio.
It starred John “John-Boy” Walton (Richard Anderson), a writer, his father John Sr. (Ralph Waite), mother Olivia (Michael Learned), grandfather Zebulon (Will Geer), and a lot of siblings.
Ike Godsey (Joe Consley) ran the general store.
Each show ended with an exterior shot of the house with each member of the family saying goodnight. Besides the aforementioned cast members, there was Grandma (Ellen Corby), “Jim-Bob” (David Harper), Mary Ellen (Judy Norton), Erin (Mary Elizabeth McDonough), Jason (John Walmsley), Ben (Eric Scott). Kami Cotler. Edgar Bergen and Charlie McCarthy are on the radio here.

Often a present-day John-Boy (Earl Hamner, creator of the show) would narrate the episode.
The TVA, The Tennessee Valley Authority is what brought electricity and plumbing to rural areas. John-Boy was Earl Hamner's alter ego.

Sitcom spun off from All in the Family and was said to be the reverse of it. While that one was about the patriarch of an all-american conservative family, this was the matriarch of an all-american liberal family.
Maude was married for the third time and her third daughter is Carol (Adrienne Barbeau). There's the maid Florida (Esther Rolle), and neighbor Arthur (Conrad Bain), the token Republican. And then there's Maude (Bea Arthur) and her husband Walter (Bill Macy), He owns an appliance store and they live in Tuckahoe in Westchester County.
Maude was always espousing various liberal causes. Carol was also a militant feminist, though she and Maude often disagreed based on the different generations they came from. Arthur's wife was later introduced. “God will get you for that” was Maude's big catchphrase.
The arresting officers are Martin Milner and Kent McCord of Adam-12.
Wife-swapping (which would also be husband-swapping by defimition) was talked about all the time in media though I'm not sure how much it existed in real life. The host of the Swingers' Club is supposed to be Dean Martin.
They must have not known the program was spun off from All in the Family and/or they didn't know that Edith Bunker was Maude's cousin and would know Walter. They knew both shows were produced by Norman Lear though. But they didn't know that it was Archia and Edith's son-in-law Mike who's the Meathead, she's the Dingbat (they made the same mistake in their All in the Family parody).

And then there's Broad, the parody on The Carol Burnett Show.
Six parodies and not a single one from MAD or Cracked, a lot for a parody of a parody..
Nightly soap opera parody centering on Mary Hartman (Louise Lasser), a suburban housewife who was never seen outside the kitchen doing housework in her home of Fernwood, Ohio. Other characters were her parents George and Martha Shumway (Philip Bruns, Dody Goodman). Her husband Tom (Greg Mullavey) wouldn't put out and was always off to work. Her promiscuous sister Cathy (Debralee Scott) seemingly had a different boyfriend in every episode. Heather (Claudia Lamb) was the smarter than her years 11-year-old daughter. Grandpa Larkin (Victor Killian) was also “The Fernwood Flasher”. Charlie and Loretta (Graham Jarvis, Mary Kay Place) were the Hartmans' neighbors, Loretta was an aspiring country singer. Sgt. Foley (Dennis Solomon) was the local police officer Mary was having an affair with.

Louise Lasser and Woody Allen had been married for a few years prior to this show.
The boyfriend in the last panel was original Crazy mascot Irving Nebbish.

Hachtman became one of the Usual Gang of Idiots at MAD and did the alt-weekly strip Gertrude's Follies, neither of which ever had anyone's dick in anyone's mouth.
