The final day of parodies of the Beatles of science-fiction. An argument could be made that Star Wars is more popular, but space adventure and science-fiction are two different things as far as I'm concerned.

The cover says there's an all-new parody of Generations. The contents says there's something by Frank Jacobs and Sergio Aragones inside. I'll post it in the updates if and when I get access.

During the christening of the newest Starship Enterprise, retired captain James Kirk (William Shatner) and crew members Montgomery Scott (James Doohan) and Pavel Chekhov (Walter Koenig) are in attendance.

Uhura (Nichelle Nichols) and Sulu (George Takei) are not in the movie, but are shown here in this group of reporters.

While the former crew members are in attendance, the current crew gets a distress call and must save a group of El-Aurian refugees. Among the group and Dr. Soran (Malcolm McDowell) and Guinan (Whoopi Goldberg), future bartender for the enterprise.

During the chaos, Kirk dies. Cut to 78 years later, the Enterprise is having a ceremony promoting Lt. Worf (Michael Dorn) in a simulation of an old pirate ship on their holodeck. In attendance are crew members William Riker (Jonathan Frakes), Geordi LaForge (LeVar Burton), Deanna Troi (Marina Sirtis), Dr. Beverly Crusher (Gates McFadden), and Data (Brent Spiner). The ceremony has to be cut short when a distress call comes in.

There was a scandal where Roseanne did a comedic version of the national anthem during a baseball game. A plotline of Data getting implanted where he can have human emotions and overdoing it with his sense of humor occurs later in the movie. Cracked overdoes it here.

Picard is told his brother has died and he laments that now his family name will no longer carry on. Dr. Soran is attempting to launch a space probe for an invention called the Nexus, a portal that allows you to live out your fantasies. By doing so, it is creating an energy ribbon that destroys everything in its path. The parody has Spock (Leonard Nimoy) trying to explain the plot better than I can.

Soran kidnaps LaForge and holds him hostage aboard a Klingon Bird on Prey in exchange for material needed for his Nexus project.. Two Klingon sisters, Lursa and B'Etor Duras (Barbara March, Gwynyth Walsh) use LaForge to implant a camera in his glasses so they can get inside information on the Enterprise. Guinan tells Picard about Soran and the Nexus, warning him that if he enters it, he won't want to leave.

Picard tracks Soran down and ends up inside the Nexus, where he has a family life. He resists the temptation to stay with the help of Guinan. He can travel to other peoples' alternate realities and travels to Kirk's, convincing him to come out of retirement to prevent Soran from helping launch the probe and to save the Earth.

In the movie, they both are able to prevent doom, but Kirk dies in action, The Enterprise is ruined but everyone survives. Data is able to keep his emotions in check. However, this parody comes up with a different ending.

Janeway (Kate Mulgrew), Tuvok (Tim Russ), Chakatoy (Robert Beltran), Neelix (Ethan Phillips), Kes of the Ocampa (Jennifer Lien), Paris (Robdert Duncan MacNeill), B'Elanna Torres (Roxann Dawson), and Zimmerman, a doctor in human form (Robert Picardo).

This series takes place a few decades ahead of the original series in a newer model of the Enterprise, with the Earth now a member of the United Federation of Planets. The crew is Dr. Beverly Crusher (Gates McFadden), Tasha Yar (Denise Crosby), Capt. Jean-Luc Picard (Patrick Stewart), William Riker (Jonathan Frakes), Counselor Deanna Troi (Marina Sirtis), Lt. Worf (Michael Dorn), Data (Brent Spiner), Wesley Crusher (Wil Wheaton), and Geordi LaForge (LeVar Burton).

Sight gags included a Noid served on a pizza, the fact that Denise Crosby is Bing's granddaughter, and that Geordi's piano says “Ebony and Ivory”, a rederence to a Stevie Wonder/Paul McCartney song

This page makes references to Khan (Ricardo Montalban) from Star Trek II, Kor (John Colicos) from the original series, and Tribbles also from the original series.

In the first panel is Oliver North, who had been indicted in the Iran/Contra hearings. The story ends with George Takei, Nichelle Nichols, Deforest Kelley, Leonard Nimoy, James Doohan, and William Shatner of the original series,

Clarence Thomas, still on the Supreme Court now, was under scrutiny for sexual harassment when first vetted.

Welcome to part two of twelve days we look at parody versions of the Star Trek franchise. We start with The Original Series that the spinoffs and movies evolved from. Yesterday were parodies from MAD, Sick, and Muppetmagazines. Today here are the Cracked ones. There are even more series than the ones parodied in the two weeks ahead and there continue to be more as we speak.

The premise of the show is explained in the opening. It's basically the first week of first year nerdspeak at this point, though I may explain aspects as if nobody's ever heard of the show before. It took place three hundred years into the future aboard the Starship Enterprise, exploring and discovering new worlds. Part of the main crew mas Captain James T. Kirk (William Shatner), executive officer Spock (Leonard Nimoy), and Doctor “Bones” McCoy (DeForest Kelley), Lt. Commander Scotty (James Doohan), Lt. Sulu (George Takei). Klingons and Tribbles were frequent aliens that appeared on the show.

Nurse Chapel (Majel Barrett) and Lt. Uhura (Nichelle Nichols) are missing from this parody.

The last panel has Soupy Sales, Jonathan Winters, Bill Cosby, Don Rickles, Fess Parker, Jim Nabors, Joey Bishop, Jackie Gleason, Red Skelton, Dan Rowan, Robbie the Robot, and Phil Silvers.
