Movie, book, and as we're looking at here, a TV series, about a family and their pet bear that was smarter than them. The father, Tom (Dennis Weaver), was a warden in the Florida Everglades. The others in the Wedloe family were the mother Ellen (Beth Brickell) and son Mark (Clint Howard).

The father patrolled the Everglades with an airboat propelled by a fan on the back.

Max Baer was a professional boxer in the 30s.
