FANTASTECCH VOYAGE
MAD #110, April 1967
w: Larry Siegel
a: Mort Drucker

Benes (Jean Del Val), a scientist who has defected from the Soviet Union to the US, has developed a blood clot and must be rushed to a secret government hospital under Secret Service protection. Here he is an Dristan ad executive being protected by the ad agency.
The headquarters Benes is taken to is the Combined Miniature Deterrent Forces, thereafter referred to as the CMDF. The LS/MFT pun is a reference to an ad campaign Lucky Strike cigarettes which always had the slogan that was an acronym for "Lucky Strike/More Fine Tar". A crew of physicians is to be shrunk into Benes to perform surgery on his brain. They are Dr. Michaels (Donald Pleasence), Dr. Owens (William Redfield), Dr. Duval (Arthur Kennedy), and assistant Cora Peterson (Raquel Welch). Chares Grant (Stephen Boyd) is a CIA agent assigned to supervise the mission. They only have 60 minutes to do this before they enlarge again and cause the body's immune system to attack.
It seems that someone inside has sabotaged the ship. Above ground, Lt. Gen. Carter (Edmund O'Brien) and Col. Reid (Arthur O'Connell) think the mission may be hopeless.
In the movie, they come out through his tears. Here, it's through his belches.
An animated series based on the movie was created a couple years later.

From MAD #111, June 1967, by Frank Jacobs and Jack Davis.
