Henry Rush (Ted Knight) was the cartoonist for Cosmic Cow who lived in a house in San Francisco with his wife Muriel (Nancy Dussault), with their daughters Jackie (Deborah Van Valkenburgh) and Sara (Lydia Cornell) downstairs. Monroe (Jm J. Bullock) was Sara's friend that was always around.
