BULL AND TAD'S EXCREMENT ADVENTURE

BILL AND TED'S EXCELLENT ADVENTURE (1989)

BULL AND TAD'S EXCREMENT ADVENTURE
Cracked #253, May 1990
a: Rick Altergott

Rufus (George Carlin) narrates from the future about how the fate of the world began with Bill (Alex Winter) and Ted (Keanu Reeves) practicing for their band Wyld Stallyns before going to school. They goof up in history and their teacher (Bernie Casey) tells them if they don't get a passing grade on their oral report the next day, they'll fail.
In the Parking lot of a Circle K, they're confronted by Rufus who comes to them from the future in a converted phone booth telling them the fate of the world depends on them. There they meet themselves after having completed the mission before traveling through time themselves.
They go back to the time of Napoleon (The parody gets the date wrong, but whatever) and grab him.
Shirley MacLaine is not in the movie, the joke is about her claims of having past lives

They leave Napoleon with Ted's brother while they get other historical figures. In the Wild West they get Billy the Kid. Then they go to ancient Greece and get Socrates. Then they go to medieval England and take nobody, it is an excuse for them to have a scene there where they flirt with teenage girls.
After facing execution, they're rescued by Billy the Kid and Socrates and travel through time picking up more historical figures. They return to the present and leave everyone at the mall while they find Napoleon. Everyone causes chaos at the mall, gets arrested, and Bill and Ted have to help them escape.

In a scene not used in the parody, Napoleon is ditched by Ted's brother and is left wandering on his own. Bill and Ted eventually find him at a water park called Waterloo.
Now they have everyone together and make it back in time to give their oral report with Billy the Kid (Dan Shor), Sigmund Freud (Rod Loomis), Abraham Lincoln (Robert V. Barron), Socrates (Tony Steedman), Genghis Khan (Al Leong), Joan of Arc (Jane Weidlin), Beethoven (Clifford David), and Napoleon (Terry Callimeri).

  1. The guy in the first panel is John Pertwee as the third Doctor Who.

Also, there seems to be a page that's repeated, and one that's missing?

  2. Mad didn't bother with this movie, but Angelo Torres did draw an official adaptation of it for DC. (In a hurry, from the looks of it.)

(This is not to be confused with the Bill & Ted series that Evan Dorkin did later for Marvel, which was weird and wonderful.)
