Phil Connor is a local weatherman assigned to go to Potrzebie, Pennsylvania to cover their annual Groundhog Day event, and forced to live the same day over and over, and when he figures out what's going on, he decides to do it differently and correct himself each time. While there he falls in love with his producer Rita Hanson (Andie MacDowell) and falls in love with her, so he uses this to get Rita to fall in love with him. Larry (Chris Elliott) is the camera operator. In the background here are Christopher Lloyd and Michael J. Fox from the Back to the Future movies.
Phil Connor (Bill Murray) is a local weatherman assigned to go to Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania to cover their annual Groundhog Day event, and forced to live the same day over and over, and... Okay, I think everyone gets the joke.
Phil first thinks he's living a bad dream, then thinks he overslept, and after they're snowed in he realizes something's up when the radio keeps playing the same thing and keeps running into an old high school acquaintance.
Now knowing he'll just repeat the next day, Phil overeats, has one-night stands, gets into fights, and commits crimes and suicide. In the background of the fourth panel is Scott Bakula from Quantum Leap.
Thelma and Louise ended with them driving off a cliff. "The Beat Goes On" is the Sonny and Cher song that he keeps waking up to (though it was "I Got You, Babe" in the movie), which is why there's a "Sonny & Cher Unplugged" sign.
Phil hates being stuck in a small town with people he despises but gets used to it, and decides to use his power to become a good citizen and gets bought by Rita at a bachelor auction. Sex, Lies, and Videotape was the breakthrough movie of Andie MacDowell.

In the background is John Candy's character from Home Alone.
He sees a neurologist (Harold Ramis, who was also in Ghostbusters about his problem.
He keeps trying to convince Rita of his problem, using his ability to predict the future. In the foreground of the next-to-last panel is Edward Scissorhands.
At the end, Ramis now appears as director instead of the character he was earlier.
Don't worry, I'm not faking you out by playing the same clip again.
