Medical drama about the St. Eligius hospital in Boston, owned by the Ecumena Corporation. The cast in the last season was John Gideon (Ronny Cox), Daniel Ausclander (Norman Lloyd), Seth Griffin (Bruce Greenwood), Mark Craig (William Daniels), Ellen Craig (Bonnie Bartlett), Victor Ehrlich (Ed Begley Jr.), Lucy Ehrlich (Jennifer Savidge), Helen Rosenthal (Christina Pickles), Elliot Axelrod (Stephen Furst), Luther Hawkins (Eric Laneuville), Phillip Chandler (Denzel Washington), Paulette Kiem (France Nuyen), Wayne Fiscus (Howie Mandel), Jacqueline Wade (Sagan Lewis), Jack Morrison (David Morse), and Carol Novino (Cindy Pickett).
William Daniels had been John Adams in 1776. Stephen Furst was best known for Animal House. Hoa Binh is a province of Vietnam. “Just say no” was a big anti-drug slogan in the 80s. Howie Mandel's real life stand-up act involved him inflating rubber gloves.
Ronny Cox was also in the Beverly Hills Cop movies. Christina Pickles was on Another World.
Dave Berg was known by most at MAD to be the one contributor without a sense of humor, so I wouldn't be surprised if I heard he didn't appreciate his cameo. I'm not sure why Danny Aiello is in that last panel except that he was in a movie with the word 'Moon' in the title and they were using someone's butt to make a “The End” joke.
On the upper right of the last page, the guy with the foot in his mouth is Darryl Strawberry.
