STAR WARZ

STAR WARS (1977)
dir: George Lucas

(Sorry, folks. Every trailer I look for is the same one. Updated ones don't count)

Being Cracked, they were always beating properties into the ground and doing crossovers to sell copies, competing not just with MAD, but with other fan magazines. I already posted the ones they did with Close Encounters of the Third Kind and The Six Million Dollar Man

I'm sure everyone here has seen the movie, so I won't get into the plot. Those who can't follow along can just click “previous post” and also see all the versions MAD did.

Sally Forth was a strip of contemporary Wally Wood.
They knew there'd inevitably be a sequel, and predicted what it would be in the next issue, also drawn by Severin.

Spock (Leonard Nimoy) and Kirk (William Shatner) from Star Trek's Enterprise.
And even more...

This is what I mean by beating things into the ground and crossing them over with everything else. Though Star Wars is one of the few times they didn't do a mash-up with Happy Days.

And yet another crossover article after the sequel.
