STRIKE IT RICHLY
Panic #3, June-July 1954
w: Al Feldstein
a: Jack Davis
Before GoFundMe there was Strike It Rich. Originally a radio show, like many it also migrated to television. The basic premise was that the host, Warren Hull, presented a guest who had a hard-luck story and need of expenses, and was given the chance to answer questions to earn more money.
Crying in the Chapel was a popular song of the era.
The bottom two panels have an appearance by writer/editor Al Feldstein and publisher Bill Gaines. Stella Dallas was a popular radio soap.
After questions were answered, the game was opened up to the Heart Line, where questions could be answered by the audience.
Is there an eighth page? It seems like there should be, though there isn't.
