Cop show about older veteran Michael Stone (Karl Malden) and young rookie Steve Keller (Michael Douglas) working the homicide department in San Francisco.
The city was often used for locations in many action scenes for TV shows and movies because of its hilly terrain. The splash has references to Ironside and Tony Bennett.
