I remember this was on the 4:30 Movie in New York a lot. If you're from somewhere else, I don't know if your local affiliate had the equivalent. They were on for an hour and a half and later an hour and they would stretch a movie over a few days instead of show it in its entirety. They'd have Planet of the Apes week or Godzilla week or Jerry Lewis week or whatever. Used to piss me off when they'd have a cliffhanger and my parents wanted to watch something else the next day not understanding how it worked. Anyway, most of the time it was movies that grade school kids would like but then they'd have things like Class of '44 or Gable and Lombard that wouldn't appeal to a ten-year-old, the former of which I still haven't seen. I was going to for this post but I couldn't find it for free. It's on iTunes and Amazon but damned if I'm paying $2.99 for it.

Chances are you haven't seen it either so I could make everything up, but I won't. Any commentary is based on this parody, so let me know if there are in fact any inaccuracies. But here's proof to show it really exists.

Coming of age comedy-drama sequel to Summer of '42 (which I do have a copy of and will see when the time comes)

The three of them graduate high school and go to a party celebrating. They make out with women and brag about it the next day.
Hermie (Gary Grimes) and Oscy (Jerry Houser) go off to college but Benji (Oliver Conant) enlists in the army. He's really clumsy. He keeps coming back and visiting the other two so we can have scenes of the three of them together.
Oscy continues picking up girls and talking about it. At college, Hermie meets Julie (Deborah Winters), a girl his own age. They constantly make references to how in The Summer of '42 he lost his virginity to an older woman. Oscy joins the football team to meet more women.
The two of them join a fraternity. Wormy and Julie get engaged.
Oscy is expelled from college for running a gang-bang so he joins the army. Hermie breaks off his engagement to Julie when he finds out there's another guy. She's the same age but still more experienced.
At college he gets a phone call telling him his father died. His friends come back to see him at the funeral. As he goes back home in the rain, he runs into Julie. Maybe they get back together but she tries to run him down in the parody.
Maybe she does that in the real movie too. Probably not, because we'd know more about it.
