Sitcom about housekeeper Nell (Nell Carter) and the Maxwell house she took care of which consisted of the father, three kids, and his parents.
The three teenage daughters were Sam (Lara Jill Miller), Julie (Lauri Hendler), and Katie (Kari Michaelsen). The father (Dolph Sweet) was a police chief.
The police chief's parents (John Hoyt, Jane Dulo) also lived there. The chief's partner Simpson (Howard Morton) would occasionally drop by, filling the annoying neighbor role.
