HIGHWAY SQUAD
MAD #58, October 1960
w: Larry Siegel
a: Mort Drucker
TV series about Dan Matthews (Broderick Crawford) head of police for the California Highway Patrol a few decades before CHiPs. The story is pretty self-explanatory, there don't seem to be any in-jokes or guest stars or topical/historical references.

In the Mad parody, guest villain Dennis Pivnik is very cartoony in all but one panel, but I think Drucker may have based him off of Maurice Gosfield, from Sgt. Bilko.
