Martin Kane, Private Eye was both a TV and radio series that had several different actors eho played him throughout his run and was parodied in multiple comics.

    Kurtzman also used Kane Keen as the lead in another Mad story, "Sound Effects" in #20.

    The Nuts parody references another early '50s TV detective, Rocky King.
