The Sick spoof has lots of other TV lawyers in it. In the background of page 1, panel 4, there's Edmond O'Brien as Sam Benedict. On page 2, panel 2, there's Raymond Burr as Perry Mason and William Talman as his usual adversary, D.A. Hamilton Burger. In panel 6, there's Jeffrey Hunter as lawyer of the Old West, Temple Houston. Page 3, panel 2 has Chuck Connors and Ben Gazzara from Arrest and Trial. (Aside from Perry Mason, all those shows only lasted one season.)
ReplyDeleteThe defendant is clearly somebody. Damned if I know who.
Cesar Romero! That's who the defendant is. A little jowly, maybe, but I think that's him.
DeleteNo, I was wrong, it's not Romero. It's Boris Karloff, which explains the Frankenstein reference on the last page.
DeleteIn the Mad 'Stupidity on Television' bit, the guy in the background holding the noose is TV horror host Zacherley.
