One of the spinoffs of The Mary Tyler-Moore Show, in which her neighbor Phyllis Lindstrom (Cloris Leachman) is left nothing in the will of her husband Lars and moves to San Francisco to start a new life there, moving in with his parents Audrey (Jane Rose) and Jonathan (Henry Jones).

Phyllis' daughter Bess (Lisa Gerritsen) was also a character on the show.

Phyllis worked in a photography studio run by Julie Erskine (Liz Torres) and her assistant Leo (Richard Schaal).
