AMERICA'S PHONIEST HOME VIDEOS

AMERICA'S FUNNIEST HOME VIDEOS (1990-1997)

AMERICA'S CRUMMIEST HOME VIDEOS
Cracked #257, October 1990
w: Charles E. Hall
a: Vic Martin

Before YouTube and Tik Tok, before even many homes had cable, this was the audience the general public had for videos of them making fools of themselves and their familie
Except you need to imagine things were added by the writers and producers in case you couldn't tell from the laughtrack that these were supposed to be funny.
Things like sound effects, music, voices, and quips.
The people who made the videos sent them in and were often presented on the show.
The show was mainly a game show with the winning video voted on by the studio audience for a monetary prize.

Cliff Mott was art director of Cracked during this time.
,br> The show is taken over by the host of America's Most Wanted, which will be the blog entry after this one.
The show spun off into other shows, and ABC's announcer showed he wasn't exactly proud of any of them.
