Stand-up comedian Arsenio Hall had a late night talk show for a while.
I'm not sure what most of these labels are and some can't be read anyway. This was because he would have captions for his audience each night (see clip). “The dog pound” was what his audience was called because their cheers sounded like barking.
First guest was Panamanian dictator Manuel Noriega.
Next were video game characters Super Mario Brothers.
Next up are the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
Arsenio was a member of Eddie Murphy's entourage.
Saturday Night Live did a sketch showing what it would be like if Johnny Carson tried to be more hip.
