Beat the Clock was a game show in various formats where contestants had to win prizes while a clock ticked in the background.
It was combined with The Millionaire, an anthology series with a different story involving a random person getting a check for a million dollars. In the article Combined TV Shows, in MAD #47, June 1959. by Paul Laikin and Mort Drucker
This was from Russian TV in Cracked #19, April 1961, by Paul Laikin and John Severin.

At the end of the Eh story, "Hack O'Brian" is a reference to newspaper columnist Jack O'Brian, who broke the story that the quiz show Twenty-One had been rigged in favor of Charles Van Doren.
