Newton Minow was chairman of the FCC, most known for referring to television as a vast wasteland.
Ben Casey was another young doctor on another TV medical drama (see link to parody), often mentioned with this one.
Arthur Murray was a dance instructor who was a celebrity who had his own show (again see parody).
Red lights are mentioned despite this being a black and white show.
Dr. Zorba (Sam Jaffe) was a character from the aforementioned Ben Casey. The "man/woman/birth/death/infinity" sign was how that show opened.

UPDATE:
MOVIE SPOOF: DOCTOR KILDARE
Sick #52, May 1957
w: Bill Majeski
This plays on the idea that the success of Dr. Kildare would spin the TV series into a movie.
The Sick article starts by saying that Richard Chamberlain and Mary Tyler Moore were poised to break into Broadway in a musical adaptation of Breakfast at Tiffany's. By the time the article came out, that was no longer true; after only a few previews, the show closed.
