1976-1981 SYNDICATED
Considering how much the Muppets became part of American culture, it's strange there was never a proper parody of them. They were, however, referenced in other parodies and many articles. Here are only a few. This was the cover of Crazy #57, December 1979. Crazy was published by Marvel, so it only made sense they would feature the Hulk on their cover.

The M*A*S*H parody isn't much different from the Veterenarians' Hospital bits they did on the show.
