What The--? was Marvel's follow-up to their earlier comic Not Brand Ecch, their own comic that parodied their own characters. I couldn't get any scans of the actual comic at a good resolution but found the original art.
Medoozy is a parody of their character Medusa from the Inhumans. Sulatu is a member of a race called the Watchers and Smilin' Stan was the nickname they gave Stan Lee. And comic writers should have known by then never to use the word “flick” in capital letters.
This spoof has the Inhumans living in a house. There's a civil war battle on the lawn because the original Driving Miss Daisy took place in the South.
Various Marvel characters, or rather, “funny” versions of them audition to be chauffeur. Reference is made to Todd MacFarlane, artist of Spider-Man. The eyechart joke is that Daredevil is blind. Lockjaw was the Inhumans' bulldog. The person they eventually hire is a take-off of Ghost Rider.
I believe “Tom” is supposed to be Tom DeFalco, editor in chief of Marvel Comics.
Punisher and Wolverine are the characters at the roadblock.
Is the Toast Rider's fur coat supposed to be made of Sasquatch from Alpha Flight? The man in the vest is supposed to be Rex Harrison in My Fair Lady.
Cracked briefly touched on this movie in #255, in one of their mini movie round-up articles.
