Clinton was President then, but the President is portrayed as Bush I, so this must have been either inventory or a reprint.
Bush's family compound was in Maine. JFK and Marilyn Monroe had an affair. The telephone operator is Lily Tomlin's Ernestine character.
Bush was said to hate broccoli.
The Simpsons originally aired opposite The Cosby Show and tried to provoke an unofficial feud. The character of Dr. Hibbard was started as a parody of Dr. Huxtable.
